Collection: Blue Moon August 2021

A varied collection of designs made and released throughout the month of August 2021 to celebrate the Full Moon in Aquarius, which is also a seasonal blue moon.

There are normally three full moons in an astronomical season, but sometimes there are four. When this happens the third of the four full moons is called a seasonal blue moon.

The upcoming full moon on August 22 is special not just because it is a seasonal blue moon, but because it is the second full moon in Aquarius in a row.

I've felt a nudge all month to make a variety of pieces to celebrate this amazing moon and they can all be found in this collection. Some pieces are made from bright blue flashy labradorite or malachite with chrysocolla because they remind me directly of a blue moon, while others have been made with amethyst which is associated with Aquarius.
