My thoughts on the meanings of stones & chakras...

While, I am fascinated with the chakra system, crystals, astrology and pretty much anything considered spiritual or metaphysical, I don’t recommend or advocate any specific healing modalities or spiritual paths.

My personal journey has led me to some pretty profound places. I’ve had amazing insights and experiences of oneness, spaciousness and connection. At the end of the day, though, these are all experiences that I have had and what I feel pulled toward.

What others experience as they go through life may be something entirely different. I do believe there is a commonality, though – that, if we listen for it, we are all pulled in one way or another toward the quiet center of peace, wisdom and unconditional love that rests inside each of us.

It looks different to everyone since we all have such varied stories, so I would never presume to know what may or may not be helpful to another.

I believe that we each have our own innate strength, wisdom and capacity to find balance. One way this can be done is through working with the chakra system or even using what you feel from crystals to connect with your inner stengths.

I truly believe that any healing or growth we experience ultimately comes from inside and I feel honored when my work meets someone at exactly the right time on their path and encourages them to keep going.

Getting in touch with this strength may or may not even produce healing results, but that may not be the point anyway.

My own experiences have shown me that any long term healing is always secondary to the reconnection with the self that comes from listening deeply to my inner world. This, in turn, has allowed me to connect deeply and authentically with my outer world.

Connection to myself has most profoundly been found through connection with others.

The greatest joy and sense of purpose that I feel from my work comes with this experience of connection.

That moment when something that has come from my heart and my hands meets the heart and hands of another person and becomes part of the story of their journey is indescribable!

So, how do I use minerals and my jewelry in my daily life?

First...one important caveat...

explore in your own way and be your own authority.

Throughout my website and in my writing, I do share a bit of information about the various chakras and properties of stones, but only with the intention of encouraging you to develop more trust in yourself, NOT to hand your power over to a system of thought outside of yourself.

Find what works for you and let that be your guide. It's all about learning to trust your own wisdom and journey.

With that all being said, how do I use them? It varies.

Different stones and modalities call to me on different days and I have no idea why. It may be their color or the energy I feel from them or even the way they caught my eye when I least expected it. I’m not sure why I am drawn to what I’m drawn to each day. Some days I feel no interest or draw to anything having to do with spirituality or growth at all.

That's okay, too.

I just know that each day I have to follow what feels right to me and I want to encourage others to do the same.

On the days that I do feel drawn to specific pieces of jewelry or crystals, I may wear them, meditate with them or simply work on my computer with them close by.

How do I feel this draw?

I feel a pull in different parts of my body and in different ways. Sometimes it’s a feeling of lightness and an open expansion in my chest. Sometimes it’s a calming and cooling in the back of my throat. I even regularly feel a sensation in my palms as if cool air is moving through them and emanating from them at the same time.

I have come to recognize a certain quality to the feel of the energy and know that this means it’s time to listen. It's expansive and light, yet grounded and steady.

I try not to over analyze or make it a head thing. My head often tries to get in on the game and control this magical realm of intuition, but it's uncontrollable and its voice becomes muffled when I get too in my head.

I invite you to welcome your own natural intuition to show itself to you more and more every day.

My sincere hope with everything I do and share, from my writing, to my painting, to my jewelry, is that it reminds you of who you truly are and encourages you to connect with your unique inner teacher and the strength and abilities that you already possess.
