This necklace features a butterfly with a new moon in Aries rising above it and a clear quartz point projecting below. I crafted this necklace with a process that uses electroforming to create an “etched” butterfly on the surface.
I created this necklace over the course of the 24 hours leading up to and the 24 hours following the New Moon in Aries on March 21, 2023. I hand stamped "new moon in Aries 2023" on the back in order to record this.
Aries is the first sign of the zodiac and marks the start of a whole new cycle through the signs.
It is a time of new beginnings and rebirth.
After a long, cold winter, when days have been short and things have laid dormant, new life, and with it new hope, starts to emerge.
This butterfly design is the perfect representation of what this time of year is about.
This design has been electroformed in pure copper and hand aged to a gorgeous patina. The chain is 16" with a 2" extender but can be adjusted to a different length. Just let me know in a note at checkout. This necklace makes a statement when worn alone and also layers beautifully with other necklaces.
Rainbow moonstone is the most powerful of the moonstones. It aligns and activates all the chakras, but is most strongly associated with the crown chakra. It is said to embody the feminine and goddess energies of the waxing and full moons bringing the wearer vitality, life force and joy. It is also emotionally balancing, bringing strength, optimism and self-appreciation.
Clear Quartz points have been used as powerful healers and energy amplifiers for centuries. They raise and focus the energy of their surroundings, the intentions of the wearer and stones they are paired with.
