This necklace features a raw smoky quartz point that has been electroformed in pure copper and hand aged to a beautiful patina. It comes standard on a 30" aged copper roll chain. I can adjust the chain to a shorter length if you'd prefer or you can opt for an adjustable deerskin lace that is about 24" at its longes point. This design is part of the Satya Collection that was created intuitively for the Become Your Truth event hosted by The Unicorn Way. It features smoky quartz, clear quartz, druzy quartz, amazonite, raw emerald, selenite, feathers and copper.
Smoky quartz is incredibly grounding and transmutes the negative to positive. It is all about new beginnings and manifestation and combining it with rose quartz is meant to ground us in love and the heart. It is associated with the root chakra, which is all about survival, and is intended to help us move from focusing on surviving based in fear to thriving based in love. My intention with this necklace was to fill it with my loving and creative energy before working with it and encasing it in copper. Copper is a very good conductor and believed to enhance the properties of minerals it is paired with.
I choose the minerals I work with based on, not just their beauty, but also the energy that I feel from them. I am often drawn to imperfect specimens and I love how the electroforming process takes these imperfections and turns them into something beautiful. I see it as metaphor for life...and they remind me to choose to see the beauty in everything.
