Collection: Scrying Mirrors

Scrying is a form of divination that involves meditating with the eyes open. It can be performed in many different ways and for many different purposes. Some use crystal balls, still water or even shiny black obsidian for scrying. Another method frequently used is done with a scrying mirror. Scrying mirrors are dark so reflections are obscured.

My favorite way to use scrying mirrors is to allow my eyes to soften their gaze as I look into the mirror. I often light a candle as well so that it's light dances along the surface an adds another dimension to the experience. After doing this for a few minutes my mind usually quiets significantly. Images, thoughts and feelings are then able to emerge from my subconscious and other realms that offer clarity and guidance. My experience is that being open to messages coming through in their own time and their own way brings forward what I most need to hear. It may take a few sessions over several days, but doing it this way feels best for me.

As always, remember that you are your own ultimate authority. I give suggestions and share practices, but people are always encouraged to take what resonates and leave the rest. This practice is one that I find helpful in strengthening my connection to my inner wisdom and intuition and my intention in sharing these mirrors is to support others in doing the same.
